§ 12-116. Restoration and restoration plan may be required.

Latest version.
  • (a)

When zoning permits are required for principle structures on waterfront lots, the applicants for such permits shall restore the water quality, habitat and natural beauty protection functions of the shoreline buffer area to the extent practicable. Generally, a restoration plan will be required whenever activity occurs within the buffer zone that disrupts the vegetation. When a permit is required under this article for any activity within the shoreland zone, it is recommended that the applicant discuss with the zoning committee whether restoration and a restoration plan will be required.

    (b)

When a restoration plan is required, the applicant shall submit a restoration plan for approval by village board prior to issuance of a zoning permit. The plan shall demonstrate compliance with the provisions of this division.

    (c)

Zoning permits shall be issued by the village only on the basis of a plan submitted by the property owner and approved by the village board when and as required in this section or otherwise in this article.
