§ 20-24. Slow-No-Wake restrictions and controlled permanent areas.

  • (a)

    No person shall operate a boat at faster than Slow-No-Wake within 100 feet or a PWC within 200 feet of any shoreline. No person shall operate a boat, including a PWC, at faster than Slow-No-Wake within 100 feet of any dock, raft, pier, swimmer or swim area as marked by swim area buoys.

    (b)

    No person shall operate a motorboat, including a PWC, faster than Slow-No-Wake speed at any time in the wildlife and fishing refuge area on the north/northwest side of White Lake (the area north/northwest of the department of natural resources approved buoys indicating Slow-No-Wake).

    (c)

    No person shall operate a motorboat, including a PWC, faster than Slow-No-Wake speed at any time in the swimming and boating safety area on the east side of White Lake (the area east of the department of natural resources approved buoys indicating Slow-No-Wake).

    (d)

    The requirements of this section are not inclusive of and do not relieve obligation for compliance with all other state laws applicable to boating in Slow-No-Wake areas.

    (e)

    The wildlife and fishing areas and swimming and boating safety areas referred to in this section are outlined on signs near the boat launch ramp and beach areas. Exact buoy locations are indicated in the State of Wisconsin Waterway Marker Application and Permit on file in the village office.
