§ 22-42. Fire chief and fire inspector.

(a)

Election; dual offices. The village fire chief is elected in April of each year by a majority vote of fire department members. By virtue of his office, the fire chief shall also hold the office of fire inspector.

(b)

Qualifications. The fire chief shall be a member of the fire department in good standing with appropriate training and experience in fire department operations.
