§ 28-35. Conditions.

  • As a condition for the use of the designated access routes, the following restrictions shall apply to all operators of all-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles, and to passengers, where applicable:

    (1)

    Headlights must be on at all times.

    (2)

    Routes must be signed in accordance with Wis. Admin. Code §§ NR 64.12 and 64.12(7)(c) for all-terrain vehicles and Wis. Stats. ch. 350 for snowmobiles.

    (3)

    Vehicles shall proceed in single file.

    (4)

    Vehicles must travel on the blacktop portion of the extreme right of the streets.

    (5)

    A maximum speed limit of ten miles per hour must be observed within the village limits.

    (6)

    Any person born on or after January 1, 1988, is required to have a safety certificate issued by the state department of natural resources.

    (7)

    All persons under the age of 18 operating or riding such vehicles must wear a helmet.

    (8)

    Vehicles must display current registration decals or valid registration renewal receipts.

    (9)

    Access trails shall automatically close when the county trail is closed or upon posting by the village board.
