§ 32-4. Nonconforming uses.

  • The lawful use of land and buildings existing at the time of the adoption of the ordinance from which this chapter is derived, although such use does not conform to the provisions hereof, may be continued, but if such nonconforming use is discontinued for more than six months or changed to any other use, any future use of the premises shall be in conformity

    with the provisions of this chapter. No nonconforming use that has been damaged by fire or other causes to the extent of 50 percent or more of its value as determined by the assessor shall be rebuilt or replaced except in conformity with the requirements of this chapter.
