§ 32-56. Plats of survey.

  • When it is proposed to divide land into two parcels or building sites, any one of which is less than 1½ acres in area, or when it is proposed to divide a block or lot in a recorded subdivision into more than two parcels or building sites without changing the exterior boundaries of the lots or blocks, the subdivider shall provide a plat of survey or, in lieu thereof, a certified survey which complies with all the requirements of Wis. Stats. § 236.34. The plat of survey or certified survey shall show ties to the existing corners in the U.S. land surveys and shall show clearly the access to streets and highways, together with its relationship to other streets and to dedicated areas. No permit for building shall be given unless the plat plan conforms to the street extensions proposed in the village as determined by the village board.
