§ 4-56. Impounding or killing of dogs.

  • Any person may impound any dog and any law enforcement officer may kill any dog which habitually pursues any vehicle upon any street, alley or highway of this village, or habitually barks or howls, kills, wounds or worries any domestic animal infected with rabies. Redemption of dogs impounded under this section may be obtained by paying the impoundment and daily boarding fees in the amounts provided in the village fee schedule. Dogs impounded for a period of seven days shall be destroyed by or under the direction of the animal control officer, in accordance with Wis. Stats. § 174.10.
