§ 2-87. Appointment of village attorney, clerk-treasurer and zoning committee.

  • A village attorney and zoning committee shall be appointed in odd-numbered years for two-year terms, and a village clerk-treasurer shall be appointed every year for a term of one year. All appointments under this section shall be made by the village board by majority vote. In accordance with Wis. Stats. § 61.197, the village board shall select appointed officers from a list of eligible persons. Appointments shall be made at the first regular meeting of the village board in May, and terms of appointed officers shall become effective on May 15 following the date of appointment.
