§ 20-20. Applicability, purpose and intent, enforcement and posting.

  • (a)

    This article shall apply to the waters of White Lake sections 16, 17 and 20, Township 31 North, Range 14 East, in Langlade County, Wisconsin.

    (b)

    The intent of this article is to provide safe and healthful conditions for the enjoyment of aquatic recreation consistent with public rights and interests and with preservation of water resources.

    (c)

    This article shall be enforced by the officers of the village. The village board specifically authorizes enforcement of this article by authorized county and state officers, including county and state law enforcement officers.

    (d)

    The village shall place and maintain a copy of this article at all public lake access points within the jurisdiction of the village pursuant to the requirements of Wis. Adm. Code NR § 5.15.

Ord. No. 2013-06-11-002, § 2 (20-20), adopted June 11, 2013, repealed former § 20-20, and enacted a new section as set out herein. The former § 20-20 pertained to motorboat speed restrictions and exceptions and derived from Ord. No. A-5, § 3, adopted March 27, 1972.
